FAQ
Will photo quality drop?+
It re-encodes at the same quality, so visual difference is minimal. You can adjust quality if you want.
Is GPS really gone?+
Yes. Canvas re-encodes pixels only, so EXIF, GPS, and capture time are all removed. You can confirm with the Image EXIF Viewer tool.
Why strip EXIF?+
Uploading photos as-is to SNS can expose your home or workplace location through GPS coordinates. Device info also reveals what phone you use, so stripping is safer for privacy.
Don't Instagram and Facebook strip EXIF automatically?+
Most SNS do remove it on upload, but some messengers, blogs, and used-goods apps don't. Stripping in advance is safer.
Can I process several at once?+
One at a time for now. Upload them in order to batch through quickly.
Can I keep original quality and strip only EXIF?+
PNG saves losslessly. JPG at 100% may still introduce tiny loss. For full preservation, save as PNG.
