FAQ

Can I convert several at once?+

For now it's one at a time. For multiple photos, upload them in order.

What is HEIC and why won't it open?+

It's the high-efficiency image format iPhones use by default since iOS 11. File sizes are small but older Windows 10 versions, older KakaoTalk, Word, and Hancom Office often can't open it.

Does converting lose quality?+

JPG is a lossy format, but at 90% quality there's almost no visible difference. If you need lossless, use the PNG conversion tool.

Does it work with Live Photos?+

Only the still image converts. The motion part of a Live Photo is saved as a separate video (.mov) and isn't handled here.

Are EXIF and GPS preserved?+

Metadata is kept by default. To strip location before posting to SNS, run the result through the Image EXIF Remover next.

How do I save as JPG directly on iPhone?+

Settings → Camera → Formats → choose 'Most Compatible' and new photos save as JPG. Convert existing HEICs with this tool.
