Which browsers support Web Speech API?+
Works well in Chrome, Edge, and Safari (partial). Firefox isn't supported. Mobile Chrome works too.
Can I upload a recorded file?+
This tool handles live microphone input only. For uploaded recordings, use a server-based tool like the Whisper API.
Accuracy is low — why?+
Mic quality, background noise, speech speed/pronunciation, and technical terms all affect accuracy. Speak slowly and clearly for best results.
Does my voice get sent somewhere?+
Chrome sends to Google servers; Safari sends to Apple. The browser doesn't process locally — voice data is sent to the provider. Be careful with sensitive content.
Does it auto-add punctuation?+
Some browsers do, but Korean rarely. You can edit afterwards or speak punctuation explicitly ('comma', 'period').
Does it work offline?+
Web Speech API generally needs an internet connection. For offline STT, look at dedicated apps.
