FAQ
Does Korean Morse exist?+
Yes — converts using the Korean Morse standard for jamo. For example, ㄱ is '·-··' and ㅏ is '·'.
How do I read Morse code?+
A dot (·) is a short signal, a dash (-) is long. Short gaps between letters, longer gaps between words. SOS = '··· --- ···'.
Why is SOS ···---···?+
It's the international distress signal — chosen because it's easy to remember and distinct from other patterns. 'Save Our Souls' is a backronym added later.
Same code for ham radio?+
Yes. International Morse is the same worldwide. Still used in ham radio, maritime comms, and some military signals.
What speed does the audio play at?+
Standard speed (about 13 WPM) by default. Options may let you adjust the speed.
Any tips for learning Morse?+
Don't memorize dot/dash patterns visually — learn the sound itself. 'A' is 'di-dah', 'B' is 'dah-di-di-dit', etc.
