FAQ

Does this just change metadata?+

No — it re-encodes the actual video, not the MP4 rotation flag. Plays correctly in any player.

Does re-encoding take long?+

About 1–2x the video length. For long videos, trim the part you need first with the Video Trim tool, then rotate.

Is audio preserved?+

Yes. The audio track is copied without re-encoding.

Can I rotate by arbitrary angles (like 45°)?+

Only 90-degree increments for now. Arbitrary angles leave blank space and need a dedicated editor.

Why does my vertical phone video show sideways on PC?+

The video's rotation metadata is often saved incorrectly. Rotating once with this tool ensures it displays correctly in any player.

Does rotating lose quality?+

Re-encoding introduces tiny loss, but default settings keep the visual difference minimal.
