FAQ
Does it re-encode?+
No. It uses stream copy, so there's no quality loss and it's fast. But cuts snap to keyframes, so the start point may be slightly off.
Can I cut multiple segments at once?+
Currently one segment at a time. Cut each separately, then combine them with [video merge].
I need second-level precision.+
Keyframe positioning may shift the cut by 0.5–2 seconds. For exact cuts, use a professional editor with re-encoding (DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
Can I trim audio only?+
Video trimming includes the audio for the same segment. To work with audio alone, run [video to MP3] first, then [audio trim].
Why is the output file the same size as the original?+
Stream copy preserves the bitrate without re-encoding. To shrink the file further, follow up with [video compress].
Does it work with MOV, MKV, or AVI?+
MP4 and WebM are primary; MOV usually works. MKV/AVI depend on codec.
