FAQ

Does it auto-connect on iPhone?+

Yes. iOS 11+ and Android 10+ default cameras show a Wi-Fi connection prompt when they detect the QR.

Can I make one for an open Wi-Fi (no password)?+

Yes — just pick 'None' as the encryption type.

Won't my password be exposed?+

The password is embedded as plain text inside the QR image. If you're sharing it publicly, consider setting up a separate guest Wi-Fi network on your router.

What's the difference between WPA, WPA2, and WPA3?+

Most home and small-business networks use WPA2. Check your router's security mode and pick the matching one. If unsure, leave it on WPA.

Can I use Korean characters in the SSID?+

Technically yes, but some devices won't display it correctly. We recommend English letters and numbers. If you already have a Korean SSID, give it a try first.

Scanning works but it won't connect — why?+

Check: (1) SSID typo or wrong case, (2) password typo, (3) the SSID is 5GHz-only but your phone only supports 2.4GHz, or (4) the router is set to hide the SSID.

What if my place has multiple Wi-Fi networks?+

Make a separate QR for each one. Putting guests on a guest network and staff on the main network is a good security practice.
