FAQ

Can it be reversed?+

Mosaic is destructive — there's no way back. Keep the original file separately.

What pixel size should I use?+

For faces, 10–20px. For stronger masking, 30–50px. Too small leaves patterns that can be re-identified.

Can I mask multiple regions?+

Yes — repeat the drag for each area.

I've heard AI can un-pixelate. Is that true?+

Very small pixel sizes (e.g. 5px) might be partly reconstructable by some AI tools. For sensitive info, use 20–30px or more.

Isn't a black box safer?+

Yes. For true anonymity, cover with a solid (fully opaque) black box. This tool is for natural-looking masking.

Does it work on video?+

Photos only for now. For video, you'll need a video editor.
